What Does Aurora Mean?

Aurora is the Latin word for “sunrise” or “dawn” that is the Greek word in the Bible “diaugázō” which means “to shine through, to dawn of daylight breaking through the darkness of night”. It also means resurrection, new day, new beginning, and light bursting out of darkness. We have chosen this name for our ministry to reflect 1 John 1:5 “This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.” God’s love reveals His Son, Jesus Christ, the light of the world, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. We look to Jesus (Matt 5:14) and pray for others to receive His love, healing, revelation, and the truth that sets them free.
